- 5 / 5By Story time in DaHoodLa Rita Lees is amazing to work with, she recently created a surprise cake for my son which the party was held at a local restaurant here in Wilmington. The restaurant was so impressed with her cake that they actually featured LaRita's cake in THEIR own display case. A whole restaurant of people tried to get her cake ordered for their own dessert, but it was ours and we were not going to share any of our Carolina Cakes & Confections Cake! The taste of it melted like butter, so light...we get a cake from them every year. She has made my son so happy once again!July 06, 2016
